It's Baaaaack!

It's not even September yet and the Pumpkin Spice latte is back at Starbucks. Love it! And it's redeemed itself from the crap that was brewed up last fall.

Totally worth the whole 6 units of insulin I had to pump in order to enjoy it guilt free.

So if they are bringing back the Fall drinks in August, does that mean I'll see my favorite Gingerbread Latte back in early November?? (Please?) One could hope.

Cookies... or something

At least they taste like Snickerdoodles. They just didn't flatten like I'd hope. Oh well. More for M and I. :)

Wedding Day!

I couldn't decide between the two favorites, so you get to see two. Yesterday's wedding was "gorgious," as Mia Michaels would put it. More photos will be posted on Facebook later. :)

Look Up Again!

Ceiling from The Citizen Hotel in Downtown Sacramento. We were rehearsing for my cousin's wedding.

Here is the lovely bride-to-be with her insanely large "bouquet." No bow bouquet would be complete without the 80s inspired cascading flowers.

Bring on the Bugs!

Okay - so my Canon isn't that powerful. But, still - the shot made the 10 minutes or so hunting dragonflies in my backyard somewhat worth it. And my Nikon was being stupid. Bleh.

Hey Look! No Bugs!

So my little Canon point and shoot has pretty powerful macro setting! Woo hoo! Since I had so much fun getting up close and personal with the plant life at my hotel today, I've created a sub album to explore. (Facebook log in required. Ha ha.)

Look up!

My friend, Linda, started a photo blog last year. It encouraged others to send in photos of ceilings. She said that not many people appreciated the ceilings found in this world... and some of them are kind of neat to look at. So inspired by her idea, I took a "look up" while I was waiting for hotel check out.

Trade Show Madness

Early morning... Early breakout session... Full bag of materials... 15$ itunes card... And it's barely noon. I'm le tired.

Two more breakouts to go...

Hellooooo Los Angeles!

I'm in sunny la la land for the next two days while I attend ASAE's annual conference.

Highlights of my trip include people watching at a vendor reception, a lovely suite at the Bonaventure hotel, a near brawl between two cab drivers, our shuttle driver singing along to Christina Aguilera, and a young couple in my elevator high as kites and still looking for more weed!

Yay! I <3 LA!

If it were any cheaper...

...it would have been considered stolen. Macy's put a ton of clearance stuff on super sale. Plus I had a coupon that actually worked on designer merch. It's so purty. :)

And while I didn't spend a ton of money on it, M still thinks it's funny that I have this new fancy purse and no money to put in it.

Fun with the Macro Setting

I was playing with the macro setting on my SLR this morning. Kind of inspired by Reza's latest Facebook upload. And now I really want a macro lens. :(

Lucy likes the macro setting too...

Family Portrait

The planter box on our front porch had been housing a mother dove and her two youth. Well, one disappeared about a month ago, but the remaining offspring has been hanging out in the nest for about 2 months now. Drove Lucy bonkers.

I guess he finally figured out how to fly and the whole family perched on our fence this morning. And then were rightfully scared off when I tried to sneak outside to get a better shot. Good bye house guests!

Why so serious?

One of the rare instances when Lucy's "cousin," Sofia, isn't running away from you... or clawing at you... or scratching something. She just wants to go outside.

Almost here!

It's almost time for the Project 365 to officially begin! There are lots of opportunities in my near future to get some great photos, so I can't wait to share.

Hopefully my mobile phone can keep up. :)

When toilet paper isn't enough...

I am submitting a photo for the project a little early just because the opportunity was too good to pass up.

But I had to snap and run because the renters had opened the garage and started surveying their new lawn ornaments.

One thing is for sure: all signs point to the fact that someone got really bored (or drunk) last night.
